iOS · TestFlight testing
Strength training, decoded.
Helix isn't just a workout log — it turns every set you record into a living portrait of the athlete you're becoming: live stats, PRs, muscle heatmaps, and an evolving Athlete DNA profile.
Not yet on the App Store — currently in TestFlight testing.
Every rep writes your Athlete DNA
No questionnaires, no guesswork. Your Athlete DNA is computed entirely from what you actually do in the gym — and it evolves with every session.
You log
- Sets, reps and weights — freestyle, or from reusable routines and multi-week programs.
- Your history — import everything from Hevy, Strong or CSV, with a preview before a single row is saved.
- Your runs — optionally, by connecting Strava.
Helix derives
- Athlete DNA — an evolving profile of how you train, with a timeline of how it's shifted.
- Muscle heatmaps — activity, balance and readiness mapped onto the body.
- PRs, volume and trends — detected automatically, no recalculating, no configuring.
Everything Helix shows is derived from your own log. It's training insight, not medical advice — and the app says so wherever it matters.
Everything a training log should do
Log without friction
Hit Train, record your sets, done. The screen stays awake while you lift, and routines pre-fill your session so gym time goes to lifting, not typing.
Athlete DNA
A living profile of the athlete you're becoming, with an evolution timeline that shows how your training has changed you over months and years.
Muscle intelligence
Heatmaps of what you've worked, balance across opposing muscle groups, and per-muscle readiness estimates to plan your next session around.
Bring your history
Full-history import from Hevy and Strong exports or any CSV — exercise names matched with confidence tiers and a preview before anything is written.
Runs included
Connect Strava and your runs line up alongside your lifting. The connection is optional, reversible from either side, and tokens never touch your phone.
Your data, your files
Export a portable copy any time, clear your training log for a fresh start, or delete your account entirely — all from inside the app.
Your data, plainly
Helix syncs your log to your account so it follows you across devices. Here is the whole arrangement, without the fog.
- Stored with your account. Your training data lives in a cloud database restricted to you by row-level security, encrypted in transit.
- No ads, no tracking. There is no advertising, analytics or cross-app tracking SDK in the app — nothing to opt out of.
- Never sold. Your personal information is not sold or shared for advertising. The only services involved are the ones that make the app work.
- No lock-in. Import your past, export your present. Deletion — of your log or your whole account — is a first-class feature.
The full policy, including its honest limits, lives at support.varmanlabs.com/helix/privacy and …/helix/security.
